The Start of Baseball

Hello Chargers!

The 3-5 students are having a fun time learning all about hockey. I am very proud of how quickly each of them are picking up the skills. We have learned/practiced everything from stickhandling to passing to a teammate, and blocking an opponent from scoring a goal. Next week will be our final lessons of hockey and each class will be doing 6 on 6 hockey scrimmages. I am excited to see them put all the skills together in a game like situation. Following our hockey lesson we will be starting baseball. For the month of April the P.E. baseball lesson will be taught outside on the field. Since it is now spring and the weather is getting hotter, I urge everyone to make sure their scholar brings a water bottle to school on P.E. day. The schedule for each grade is as follows: 3rd and 5th grade-Mondays and Thursdays, and 4th grade-Tuesdays and Fridays. I am looking forward to bringing the students outside to learn about baseball and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Hello Chargers!

I am Coach Warren and I am extremely excited to take on the role of 3-5 p.e. teacher here at Archway Arete. I am fully aware that taking over the role for Coach Rubino leaves me with some big shoes to fill. It will be tough to gain the love and admiration the students have towards Coach Rubino, but I will work hard to make sure they learn just as much and hopefully a little something extra. It has been a pleasure teaching p.e. this last quarter and I can't wait to continue on the fun till the end of the year. We are finishing up our basketball unit now with some 5 on 5 game play, so if any of your scholars come home sore, it's from running up and down the court. Our next unit up will be hockey, which is exciting for me because I just moved from New York and hockey is the big sport out there. If you have any questions, comment, concerns, or would just like to reach out to me my email address is Thank you and I can't wait to get to know all your scholars even more!
